Join us for an overview of the critical components of nonprofit financial leadership. This training will provide participants with an understanding of the different roles and responsibilities that board members, executive directors, and financial staff have in assessing and maintaining financial health for their organization.

Topics include:

  • Techniques to ensure accuracy in your financials
  • Methods to assess your organization’s financial condition
  • Setting financial goals and creating a plan to achieve them
  • Methods of sharing your progress toward your financial goals with your staff, board, and external stakeholders

Pen to Paper: 3-Part Grantwriting Clinic

This 3-part series will provide you with personalized coaching and peer review of a current grant application. Each session will focus on a different element of the Common Grant Application (CGA), including: narrative, goals & objectives and grant attachments. This course is intended for nonprofit professionals that work in a development capacity and have an active grant application. Participants will have the opportunity to get direct feedback during the class and revise their proposals between sessions.

Part 1: Develop Your Effective Case for Support

Part 1 will focus on how to maximize the limited space available to tell your story in your grant proposal and work to clarify and refine your organizations goals and objectives with the help of peer review.

Part 2: Mission Building Blocks

Part 3: Grant Attachments and Tips for Success

Impact Investing for Nonprofits

Impact investing is in the news, and it’s happening in your neighborhood. But what does it all mean? Are you thinking about capital instead of contributions?  Colorado is leading the way in this arena and there are exciting opportunities for nonprofit organizations to rethink how to finance their important work. Come learn more about this topic and have a chance to ask questions and discuss these ideas with fellow innovators. This training is an updated, full-day version the previous Impact Investing session, and it will include learnings from the first Colorado Impact Days.

Grant Writer Roundtables

Grant Writer roundtables are a way to connect with your peers around issues that affect life as a professional fundraiser. Development Roundtables

Community Resource Center Development Roundtables provide an introduction to a Colorado-based funder and Program Officer, and an opportunity for peer-learning and networking. Participants will gain valuable and unique information regarding the funder’s history and priorities for Colorado giving, current strategic plan and funding initiatives, grant application submission and review process, tips for success from a Program Office, and an opportunity for open dialogue and questions with Program Officer.
