About the Author

Marjorie “Peg” Long currently serves as the Executive Director of the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District, a governmental entity that facilitates the distribution of tax funds to more than 300 Colorado nonprofits annually. Ms. Long earned a B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a J.D. degree from the University of Colorado School of Law. She also holds a Masters Degree in Nonprofit Management from Regis University, where she has taught courses on nonprofit legal issues. Ms. Long practiced law in the private sector for six years and in the nonprofit sector for 12 years before becoming an executive director. She has extensive experience in public policy and advocacy.
