Weathering the Storm: Challenges and Opportunities for Colorado Nonprofits During Recession

Jointly published by the Community Resource Center and the Colorado Nonprofit Association and sponsored by The Colorado Health Foundation, Weathering The Storm demonstrates that Colorado's economy has impacted nonprofits all over the state.  

Nearly 70 percent of nonprofits have seen an increase or significant increase in demand for programs and services and 40 percent of those nonprofits surveyed were unable to meet the needs of current clients at year end due to the combination of demand for service and lack of funding. Nearly 40 percent saw decreases in corporate funding, 30 percent in special events and individual donations, and 27 percent in foundation grants.

Statewide Trainings

In partnership with the Colorado Nonprofit Association and other nonprofit providers of trainings and workshops, CRC will be hosting a statewide trainings calendar. This calendar will be a one-stop shop for nonprofit leaders seeking professional development in their own communities outside the Denver Metro area.
