The latest COVID-19 relief package–The American Rescue Plan Act– was signed by President Biden on March 11, 2021. The new legislation provides additional funding and expanded eligibility for the Paycheck Protection Program, extends tax credits for organizations, extends federal unemployment benefits through September 2021, and provides billions in aid to state, local, tribal, and territorial governments.

Learn more about the specifics of the plan in the resources below. While the plan provides much needed support for nonprofits, there is still work to be done. Read Independent Sector’s response statement outlining key wins and needs for the health of the nonprofit sector.
