San Luis Valley Rural Philanthropy Days
Scholarships Now Available!
A limited number of scholarships are available to ensure that smaller nonprofits in the San Luis Valley, or those without the financial resources for continued staff and board training, are able to participate in SLV RPD.
The scholarship will enable staff or board members to attend the full three day conference at a total cost of $50, with the expectation of 2 volunteer hours for all recipients.
Applications are due June 14th
What to Expect
RPD conferences include many opportunities to increase your understanding of nonprofit best practices, collaborate with other community leaders and connect with Front Range and local funders. The funder roundtables are a signature of the RPD program and provide a unique opportunity to meet with grantmakers in a rural setting.
The goal of RPD is to bring increased access to resources to support sustainable rural nonprofits, increase the engagement of funders in rural communities, and encourage effective collaboration on a regional scale.
Call for Storytellers!
The call for Storytellers is now open for San Luis Valley Rural Philanthropy Days (SLV RPD) 2019! The SLV RPD Steering Committee has begun accepting submissions for our three Key Storytellers and our six Rich History, Bright Future Photo Gallery stories.
Are you a local San Luis Valley resident with a compelling story and love of our area? We want you to inspire and inform this unique audience with life here in this region of Colorado. The San Luis Valley truly is the state’s hidden gem, we want you to share your experience. Please consider submitting your proposals to this September event.
Each Key Storyteller will have a fifteen minute time slot between 12pm-1pm on September 17th.
Please complete this short survey to complete your proposal. Priority deadline to submit your proposal is March 8th. However, the program committee will continue to accept proposals until all available spots are filled.
Rich History, Bright Future Photo Gallery:
Our goal is to create a gallery of photographs that tell the story of the San Luis Valley’s unique strengths, challenges, and hopes for the future. We strive to be inclusive of all nonprofit sectors and counties in the SLV.
Please complete this short survey by March 13th to be considered for the Rich History, Bright Future Photo Gallery.
