Colorado Collaborative for Nonprofits
A Shared Place for Nonprofit Advancement
In 2011 the Colorado Collaborative for Nonprofits was chosen as one of the first cohorts of the Denver Shared Space Project, a partnership of the City of Denver, Urban Land Conservancy and the Piton Foundation. Throughout 2011 and into 2012, Colorado Nonprofit Association, Colorado Nonprofit Development Center, Community Resource Center, Community Shares of Colorado, and Metro Volunteers met regularly to identify shared office needs. At the same time, the cohort also held discussions about planned program collaboration and how this would impact space needs. Based on those discussions the cohort located an office at 789 Sherman that would meet its space needs and allow for enhanced collaboration. The Collaborative’s offices are on the second floor, with the first floor housing a training center with meeting rooms and a large training room.
The Collaborative serves as a vital hub for capacity-building and professional support for Colorado nonprofits.
