AI for Grant Writing: An Introduction for Nonprofits (REGISTER NOW)

February 10, 2026 | 9:00am – 12:00 noon | Virtual training via Zoom

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly changing the way nonprofits approach grant development, from prospect research and writing support to project management and editing. But AI is not a replacement for the human voice, strategy, and expertise behind successful grants—it’s a powerful tool and“personal assistant” that still needs your guidance.

This 3-hour interactive, introductory-level training will demystify AI for nonprofit professionals, providing clear definitions, examples, and practical tips for using AI responsibly in the grant process. Participants will explore a range of platforms and grant-specific AI tools, consider both the benefits and cautions, and hear insights from Colorado funders about how AI is shaping their review process. Together, we’ll experiment with hands-on exercises so participants walk away with new tools, practical strategies, and confidence to begin using AI in their own grant development work.

By the end of this training, participants will gain:
● A clear understanding of what AI is and how it applies to grant writing.
● Knowledge of the benefits and cautions of using AI in the grant process.
● Frameworks to assess the ethical implications of AI in the context of your organization’s core
values.
● An overview of available AI platforms and grant-specific tools.
● Insights from Colorado funders on how AI is influencing grant review.
● Practical tips for using AI in drafting, research, editing, and project management.
● Hands-on experience through interactive exercises with AI tools.
● A take-home resource with prompts and tools to continue experimenting with AI in their own
work.

On Demand: Video Training Series

CRC is excited to launch On-Demand video grant training this Fall! CRC recognizes that nonprofit organizations in Colorado are navigating unchartered waters amid the reality of changing government grants, funding cuts, and economic uncertainty. Therefore, the need for quality training options around grants and diversified funding streams has never been more critical.

In addition, CRC is offering a personal coaching session with an experienced grant coach to answer specific questions after participants watch the training. This 1-on-1 session bridges the gap between a live virtual event and a recorded one by offering individualized coaching based on the unique situation of each nonprofit.

Available in both Spanish and English! Here are the four most popular training courses:
